Technical Details
The U.S. County Visualizer displays county and county-equivalent boundaries for the entire Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The tile set includes county maps supporting a maximum Google Maps zoom level of 12.
The underlying data was rendered from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2009 TIGER/Line® Shapefiles.
The entire MapTechnica.com U.S. County and County-Equivalent tile set consists of nearly 1 million tiles totalling over 3 Gigabytes of data. (If you're wondering, we're capably hosted by MediaTemple.)
